Biography (115 words)

Joey Zhuang is a Chinese flutist and piccoloist, who finds joy in engaging with a multitude of musical styles. Recent highlights include Principal Flute position with Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra (2023-24), invited performance with Strata Festival, and fellowship with the Orchestra of the America. She has performed in Canada, China, Scotland and the United States, from chamber music to world premieres.

Passionate about music education, Joey collaborates with diverse learners as a teacher in her own studio, and has taught in various institutions in Canada including University of Saskatchewan and University of Toronto. 

 

Joey holds a master degree at Northwestern University in Chicago with full scholarship while being a member of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association.
